Biography
Professor Ali Saeidi holds a PhD in geomechanics, with a specialization in risk analysis, from the Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine in France. Currently a professor of geomechanics at Université Laval, he leads a number of research projects on geomechanical and geotechnical risk assessment, including the risk of rock mass erosion associated with spillways, the risks of instability of underground structures and those associated with landslides. He is currently overseeing several research projects, which have received substantial funding.
